Spiritual healing requires no faith or belief on part of the person seeking it; nor is it a requirement that the patient has the same religious belief as that of the healer administering the healing.
Spiritual healing is not specifically related to any one religion but a common bond throughout all religions; they all believe that God or the Divine Force can heal, even though it is administered in different ways.
Healing is relayed through the divine source of life which some people call God/Source/or universal life force. Some explain the divine source of life energy as the vibrational energy of pure love and light. The Healer is merely a channel for this type of energy and, as such, can neither direct nor influence its natural process in any way. They are purely a passive channel for that healing energy to the patient. It re-energies and relaxes the patients to enable their own natural resources to deal with illness or injury in the best possible way.
Spiritual healing practitioners are also called healing medium because they often work with spirit healing guides who have a role in directing the healing energy where it needs to go. The energy is channelled through the medium into the body and aura of the patient. It permeates all – the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels. Mediums train to become purer channels so that the healing energy flows unhindered.
In trance spiritual healing, the medium needs to reach a slightly different and deeper altered state.

ENERGY HEALING
Energy Healing is a form of complementary and alternative medicine based on the belief that a vital energy flows through the human body. The goal of energy healing is to balance the energy flow in the patient. It is used to reduce stress and anxiety and promote well-being.

In Energy Healing the medium or healing practitioner becomes aware of the energy points, chakras and meridians in body and energy body that may be weak, blocked, or chaotic.
By connecting with the universal life force (or Qi/Chi), intention and movement energy healing aims to unblock and move the energy so it flows naturally which then leads to better health.

REIKI HEALING
Reiki also connect to the universal healing energy, but the attuned Reiki healers use specific symbols (given by masters or angels) to direct the energy flow, with focused attention, into the patient.
Reiki was developed in the 1920s by Mikao Usui in Japan as a spiritual practice (reiki may be translated as 'spiritual ki'). With Usui's help, one of his master students Chujiro Hayashi extracted the healing practices from the larger body of practices.
Reiki is considered a energy healing technique that promotes relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety through gentle touch. Reiki practitioners use their hands to deliver energy to your body, improving the flow and balance of your energy to support healing. Some practitioners use crystal and grid to enhance the energy flow.

IN PERSON OR ONLINE HEALING?
There are basically two forms of Spiritual, Reiki or Energy Healing in use in this country: contact where the healer places his hands onto or near to a person, and remote healing where the patient is not present in person but healing thoughts directed to him.
Neither massage nor manipulation should be used during contact healing. No patient should be asked to remove any clothing except for maybe an overcoat or shoes.
The only requirement is that the patient should have is a respect for themselves and an open mind about the healer’s capability to be a channel for the healing force.

Spiritual, Reiki and Energy Healing is not offered as an alternative to orthodox medicine but is complementary to it. People who are under medical care should always continue with the treatment their doctor has prescribed.
