Mindsight with children is work I approach with both care and genuine enthusiasm. When the conditions are right, it can be a deeply rewarding process — supporting children to relax into who they are, trust their own perceptions, and grow in confidence, focus, and self-belief. I continue to be moved by the quiet but meaningful changes families often notice, sometimes during sessions and sometimes unfolding long afterwards.

Availability Update (Jan 2026)

I’m currently reviewing and refining what I offer in this area and I’m not taking on new children at the moment. This pause allows me to ensure that when I do offer this work, I can do so with the energy, presence, and continuity it deserves.

What is Mindsight?

Mindsight is a gentle yet deeply engaging way of supporting children to develop inner perception — the ability to notice subtle information through awareness, attention, intuition, and felt sense.

It can be an amazing process where children are supported to be their natural selves. Many find that confidence grows, learning feels easier, and they become more comfortable being who they are and who they are becoming. I’m continually moved by what unfolds in this work and love sharing it with children.

For some children, this includes sensory exercises using a blindfold — work I still value deeply and often find remarkable. For others (particularly older children), the emphasis is more on strengthening attention, emotional regulation, self-trust, and their relationship with their own inner experience.

This work isn’t about forcing outcomes or performance. It’s about creating the right conditions for curiosity, confidence, and calm focus to grow.

What this work can support

Parents often enquire because their child is:

  • highly sensitive or unusually perceptive

  • anxious, overthinking, or easily overwhelmed

  • intuitive but lacking confidence or grounding

  • curious about inner awareness and “how they know what they know”

  • interested in perception exploration (including blindfold work) in a safe, non-pressured way

This work may support children to:

  • gently release limiting beliefs, emotional blocks, or unhelpful patterns

  • build confidence, self-esteem, and respect for themselves and others

  • feel more open to learning and their own potential

  • develop natural talents and use them wisely

  • explore values such as kindness, responsibility, and self-awareness

Sometimes families simply want a positive, confidence-building

experience that strengthens focus, curiosity, and self-belief.

Ages and fit

I work most comfortably with children where the approach can be kept playful, grounded, and developmentally appropriate.

If you’re enquiring, please include your child’s age(s). This helps me advise honestly on whether the work is likely to be a good fit — and if not, I’ll say so.

How sessions work

When I’m offering this work, sessions are 1:1 and carefully paced. The emphasis is always on:

  • safety, consent, and trust

  • gentle progression (no pushing or proving)

  • supporting the child’s confidence and nervous system

  • helping parents understand what best supports their child

Some children respond quickly. Others take longer. Some simply enjoy the exploration without any dramatic results. All of these are valid outcomes.

Ethical note

This work is exploratory and experiential. While it can be powerful, effective, and deeply enjoyable, I don’t promise specific abilities, results, or time frames, and I won’t pressure a child to perform. The intention is to support awareness, confidence, and self-regulation — not to prove anything.

Fees

When I offer children’s sessions, they are structured paid sessions (not free case studies). Full details are shared once I’m taking on new children again.

About Mandy

I’m a qualified primary school teacher and former Teacher of the Deaf, and much of my professional life has been in the field of communication — supporting children (including those who are deaf, deafblind, or have communication differences) and helping families understand what a child is truly expressing.

In later years, I also developed a specialism in dementia — another area where presence, attunement, and communication beyond words matter deeply.

Alongside this, my current work focuses on healing, transformation, and training adults in intuitive development and altered-state awareness. Mindsight with children is a natural extension of that broader work — offered with care, clear boundaries, and respect for each child’s readiness.

Seeing is believing

Not all children consciously ‘see’ or read while wearing a blindfold. However, many families notice wider developments — changes in confidence, learning, social skills, habits, and how children relate to themselves and others. Often the impact extends beyond the child to the whole family.

Many parents describe their children as becoming more open, more confident, and more at ease — though very much still themselves.

A parent’s reflection

“Beyond the sessions themselves, we noticed a real shift in our child’s confidence and calm. There was less pressure around learning, more curiosity, and a sense of ease that seemed to ripple through family life. It wasn’t dramatic or forced — just quietly transformative. Amazing results - our child even appears more loving and enthusiastic about life.  These sessions are a life-line. She is now excelling in all areas at school, with her reading, in her hobbies and within the family.”

FAQ

Is this “seeing blindfolded”?
Blindfold work can be part of the process, and I continue to value it greatly. However, it isn’t the sole focus. The focus is awareness, attention, and inner perception, and the approach varies by child and age.

Does it work for everyone?
Not always. Some children love it, some feel neutral, and some simply aren’t in the right season for it. I’ll always prioritise what’s best for the child.

Do you work with siblings?
This work is usually most effective 1:1. If you have more than one child, I may suggest separate enquiries and a staged approach.
